Refund & Cancellation Policy

When refunds apply, and how cancellations work.

The short version

  • Generated documents are non-refundable once successfully delivered.
  • If a generation fails on our side (no document produced) we auto-refund the credit to your account.
  • Unconsumed credit packs (5 / 10 / 20) are refundable within seven (7) days of purchase if no credit has been used.
  • Subscription cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period; pro-rated refunds apply only in specific cases listed below.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all paid services purchased on vetted.legalprotect360.com: per-document unlocks, doc-credit packs, monthly / annual subscriptions, and one-off add-ons (lawyer review, multi-language translation, custom-template engagements).

2. Per-document unlocks

A per-document unlock entitles you to generate one (1) compliance document of the type selected. Prices are tiered by document complexity and shown before checkout (currently ₹1,500basic, ₹2,500standard, ₹7,500 complex; all net of 18% GST).

Refund policy for per-doc unlocks:

  • If the document is generated successfully and delivered to your account, the unlock is non-refundable— you have received what you paid for and may download, edit and use the document indefinitely.
  • If the generation fails on our side (server timeout, model error, or otherwise no usable document is produced) we automatically credit your account with one (1) replacement unlock of the same tier within 24 hours.
  • If you decide not to proceed within ten (10) minutes of checkout AND no document has been generated, contact accounts@lawcrust.com and we will refund the unlock minus the payment-gateway charge.

3. Doc-credit packs

Credit packs are available in 5, 10, 20-credit denominations. Each credit unlocks one document. Credits expire 12 months from purchase on a FIFO (first-in, first-out) basis.

Refund policy for credit packs:

  • Within seven (7) days of purchase, if NO credit from the pack has been consumed, you may request a full refund minus the payment-gateway charge.
  • After 7 days or after any credit has been consumed, the pack is non-refundable. Unused credits remain available for the full 12-month expiry window.
  • Expired credits are not refundable.
  • On account closure, unused credits forfeit. We will email a 30-day warning before closure to give you a chance to consume them.

4. Subscriptions (monthly & annual plans)

How to cancel:open your account dashboard → My account → Cancel subscription. You may also email accounts@lawcrust.com. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period — you continue to have access until that date, after which the account reverts to pay-per-pack pricing (no monthly charges) and your data is retained per the Privacy Policy.

Pro-rated refunds: we offer pro-rated refunds for annual subscriptions ONLY in the following cases:

  • Service unavailability: if the platform is unavailable for more than 72 cumulative hours within a 30-day window due to issues attributable to us (not your network, not a third-party processor outage).
  • Material feature removal: if we withdraw a core advertised feature that was material to your purchase decision, you may cancel and receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the annual term.
  • Account closure by us: if we close your account without cause, the unused portion of the annual term is refunded in full.

Monthly subscriptions are not pro-rated — cancellation stops the next renewal but the current month is not refundable.

5. How refunds are processed

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment instrument used for the purchase. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
  • Approved refunds are initiated within five (5) business days of approval and typically arrive in your account within seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days depending on your card-issuing bank's processing time.
  • GST collected on the refunded portion is also refunded in line with applicable tax law and is reflected in your next monthly GST statement.
  • Payment-gateway charges (Razorpay / Cashfree) are deducted from the refund amount where the gateway does not return them to us.

6. Add-ons & one-off services

  • Lawyer review: non-refundable once the review has been assigned to an advocate. Cancellable for a full refund up to the point of assignment (typically within 4 business hours of placing the request).
  • Multi-language translation: non-refundable once the translation has been generated, as compute cost is incurred at that point.
  • Custom-template engagements: governed by the specific statement of work signed for that engagement.

7. Refund disputes

If your refund request is declined and you believe it shouldn't be, write to accounts@lawcrust.com with the order ID and reason. We respond to all disputes within three (3) business days. Unresolved disputes are governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, as set out in our Terms & Conditions.

8. Chargebacks

We urge you to contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer — we can usually resolve a billing concern within a single email. Where a chargeback is initiated without prior contact and the underlying claim is found to be without merit, we reserve the right to suspend the account pending resolution and to recover any chargeback fees levied on us.
